Mission
Janice’s DanceWorks takes pride in offering quality dance education for ages 2 through adult in a structured, positive caring environment that instills creativity, discipline and self esteem. DanceWorks has an educated and accomplished staff of teachers, a state-of-the-art facility with surround sound, sprung wood floors, air conditioning, and a waiting room with two 42″ monitors to observe class every week!
Far more than just an array of classes for all ages – from Ballet to Hip Hop, Tumbling to Tap, Jazz to Lyrical and Modern – Janice’s DanceWorks is a place that has a heart for the community and seeks to give back to enhance peoples’ lives. Danceworks dancers are invited to evening dance parties and movie nights as a safe place to have fun in their neighborhood. We also offer birthday & theme parties to share their dance school with their family & friends. DanceWorks offers our students and their families the chance to participate in our popular Movie Nights, Craft Nights, Dance Parties, Holiday School Party, Easter Bunny Hop, and many more fun activities for the whole family!
DanceWorks also offers competitive level dance. Entrance into DanceWorks’ Competition Dance Team is by invitation only.
One of the greatest pleasures of teaching dance is the privilege to work with young people – to see their skills develop, their ability to perform blossom and the special relationships that are fostered in a positive and exciting studio environment.
Danceworks is affordable
Cost is $70 Card or $65 cash/check
per month, which includes one class per week.
A 10% discount is offered for each additional class.
Dress Code Policy
Ages 2-7 and Combination Classes
Pink or Black bodysuit, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, tan tap shoes with tap ties or buckle, hair secured and a small dance bag
Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary
Ballet: Black or burgundy bodysuit, pink tights, pink split sole ballet shoes, with hair secured in a bun
Modern: Any Color Bodysuit, Tan convertible or stirrup tights, bare feet, hair secured off face & neck (ponytail acceptable
Lyrical & Contemporary: Any Color Bodysuit, Tan convertible or stirrup tights, Half Sole Shoe, hair secured off face & neck (ponytail acceptable)
Jazz and Tap
Any color bodysuit, Dance Shorts, Tan tights, Hair secured Ponytail acceptable
Age 8-10: Tan Jazz Gore Boot / Tan Capezio or Bloch Tap Shoe
Age 11 & up: Black Jazz Gore Boot / Black Capezio or Bloch Tap Shoe
Hip Hop
Comfortable Clothes (No Jeans or hooded sweatshirts, ), black hip hop dance sneakers or
non-marking sneakers, hair secured Ponytail acceptable
Tumbling
Any color bodysuit or unitard, dance shorts, bare feet, hair secured in ponytail
Musical Theater
